Fried Avocado Spears

​INGREDIENTS:
1 large Hass avocado/pitted/sliced 12x total
1 tsp. organic thyme 
1 tsp. organic fennel whole seed
1 tsp. organic ground black pepper 
2 dashes Himalayan pink sea salt
5tbsp gluten-free bread crumbs ( I use Ian's Panko breadcrumbs)
3 fresh, organic cloves of garlic. Chopped or diced.
1/4-1/2 cup hemp or coconut oil for frying
Directions:
  • ​​In a small pot bring your oil to a medium high heat. 
  • In a small/medium bowl combine your spices; thyme, fennel whole seed, ground pepper, and salt with your bread crumbs. Mix thoroughly. 
  • Next, peel your cloves of garlic and dice, slice, or chop how your heart pleases. Take that and mix it thoroughly into your dry breadcrumb mix. 
  • Now bring your oil to a small rolling boil. place a couple of spears in your oil for a total of 1 minute. With tongs remove and cover in breadcrumb mix. Place back in oil for another 1.5-2 minutes.
  • Place on paper towel to catch excess oil.
  • Place on favorite plate with 2 ounces of your favorite hummus and enjoy with friends!
